Before we move on, here are a few terms you'll see throughout this guide:

• Prompt — The message you type to ChatGPT. Like giving instructions to a new employee. We'll cover this in detail in Lesson 3.
• Model — The AI "brain" that processes your request. Different models have different capabilities. Think of it like different engines in cars — a V8 is more powerful than a 4-cylinder.
• Token — A piece of text (roughly 4 characters). ChatGPT processes text in tokens. You don't need to count them — just know that longer conversations use more tokens.
• Conversation — A back-and-forth chat session. Each conversation remembers what was said earlier in that same session.
• Hallucination — When the AI confidently says something that's wrong. This happens sometimes. Always verify important information.
